Legislative Fellow

Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren (CA-19) seeks a Legislative Fellow for her D.C. office to assist with policy areas relating to technology, platform regulation, and other Internet and innovation policy matters as well as the work of the House Judiciary Committee. Primary responsibilities will include policy, legal and other research related to pending legislation and working with the legislative staff to assist with all aspects of the legislative process, such as preparing for committee hearings and markups, drafting bills and amendments, and meeting with constituents and other stakeholders and / or government entities.

Professional experience in legal and/or technical fields relevant to technology and platform regulation is preferred -- such as antitrust, intellectual property, privacy, content moderation, and computer science. Having a J.D., or currently pursuing a law degree, is also a significant plus.

The position will be a paid fellowship (exact compensation commensurate with experience). A minimum of 20 hours of work per week is expected and a hybrid work posture of remote and in-office work should be anticipated.
