Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton (VA-10) seeks a highly motivated, creative, and detail-oriented Press/Digital Assistant for her Washington, DC office. The Press/Digital Assistant reports directly to the Communications Director and will work closely with the legislative and district teams.

Responsibilities include drafting copy for press materials and e-newsletters, creating digital content including social media posts and graphics, managing press clips, maintaining the website, assisting with livestream events, and taking and editing photos and videos in Washington, DC and occasionally in district.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing and oral communication skills, the ability to multitask, work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy being a part of a collaborative and energetic team. A successful candidate will be passionate about public service and Congresswoman Wexton’s legislative agenda.

Prior experience, including digital communications, graphic design, and video editing, is preferred. Capitol Hill experience and Spanish language proficiency are preferred but not required. Virginia and district ties are a plus.
