Legislative Assistant or Counsel

The Office of Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson (FL-24) seeks a legislative assistant or counsel. Primary responsibilities will include preparing and staffing the Member for Transportation and Infrastructure Committee engagements and managing a portfolio of issues including immigration, judiciary, foreign affairs, defense, and environment.

Candidates should have substantial experience with one or more of the aforementioned issues, strong academic credentials, committee experience, and proven leadership skills. Moreover, candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong editing and proofreading skills, and extensive knowledge of the legislative process.

This is not an entry-level position. Candidates with a law degree, extensive legislative experience, or Florida ties are encouraged to apply.
