The Office of Congressman Jim Costa (CA-16) seeks an experienced, organized, and highly motivated Scheduler for his Washington, D.C. office.

This is not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate should have prior experience as a scheduler, or executive assistant, whether on Capitol Hill or off. We are looking for a detail-oriented problem-solver who can manage the challenges of an ever-changing schedule with patience and efficiency and have excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to details.

Responsibilities include managing all aspects of the Congressman’s Washington, D.C. daily and long-term schedule; making official travel arrangements; organizing and responding to all incoming scheduling requests; managing the Congressman’s time in a productive and timely manner; keeping the Congressman and staff informed of any changes in the schedule immediately throughout the day; coordinate with communications team and district staff to schedule press interviews; and coordinating with the district scheduler to ensure a smooth operation between D.C. and district offices.

This position may require flexible hours and availability by phone during evenings and weekends. Familiarity with IQ, Outlook 365, MS Teams, Zoom, WebEx is preferred.
