Zoe Lofgren seeks a Legislative Counsel for the Member’s personal office to staff a portfolio that focuses on technology, intellectual property, privacy, antitrust, cybersecurity, surveillance, civil liberties and other Internet and innovation policy matters. The portfolio also has responsibility for other Judiciary Committee work including bankruptcy and courts plus some additional non-Committee issue areas.
THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION. The ideal applicant has a law degree, a strong policy background within the portfolio, previous Capitol Hill legislative experience or experience working directly for a principle active in technology law or policy. The position requires clear, concise legal and legislative writing skills as well as the political acumen to work closely and collaboratively with the wide variety of stakeholders within the portfolio.
