The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Majority Staff, seeks a Counsel to assist the Committee in its legislative and oversight activities. Duties include drafting legislation, supporting oversight and investigations of the Committee, assisting in preparing for Committee events, and providing legal advice to the Committee with respect to House and Committee rules. Title and salary negotiable depending on level of prior experience.
Understanding of the legislative process, including experience drafting legislation.
Knowledge of U.S. national security policy and familiarity with the operations of the Intelligence Community.
Proven ability to perform under pressure while juggling multiple tasks with competing priorities and excellent organizational and time management skills.
To be considered for this position, candidates must currently hold or have recently held a Top Secret security clearance.
