Legislative Assistant
posted Tue, 05/31/2022 - 1:41pmRep. Charlie Crist (D-FL) is seeking an industrious, innovative and extremely hard-working, experienced Legislative Assistant for his Washington, DC office. This position will handle a diverse portfolio of issues for a member of the Appropriations Committee and the Science, Space, and Technology Committee. This staff person will be responsible for managing the Congressman’s legislative priorities and bills; handling all matters that arise in their portfolio including vote recommendations, committee hearings and markups, drafting and introducing legislation, amendments, writing letters, and offering cosponsor recommendations; taking stakeholder meetings; and all other LA responsibilities. This is a fast-paced office that operates based on teamwork, cooperation and appreciation of one another. This is not an entry-level position.
We are hiring immediately so the candidate must be able to jump right into the Appropriations process. The salary range for this position is $70-90k, depending on experience.
