Outreach Coordinator

The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for planning outreach events, staffing the Congressman, representing the Congressman at community meetings, and interacting with key constituent groups and stakeholders. This position will also manage the federal grants outreach and coordination for the office including tracking funding opportunities, managing requests for letters of support, and working with the communications team to announce grant funding.

Applicants must bring an entrepreneurial spirit to a fast-paced office, demonstrate pro-active initiative, and possess a desire to continually learn. Applicants must work well under pressure, have excellent written and oral communication skills and a good sense of humor. The position requires strategic thinking and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.

This is not an entry-level position. Applicants with IL-11 ties and previous government, political, or similar experience are a plus. Must live in or be willing to relocate to Illinois. Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends.
