Legislative Assistant

Congressman Joe Neguse seeks a highly motivated, hard-working Legislative Assistant to handle the Judiciary Committee portfolio, including antitrust, immigration, civil rights, gun violence prevention, criminal justice reform, oversight, and other related issues. Responsibilities of this position include drafting and advancing legislation, staffing and preparing the member for Committee hearings and markups, writing policy memos and vote recommendations, maintaining committee and stakeholder relationships, and meeting with constituents.

This is not an entry-level position. Previous Hill experience is required. Ideal candidates will have experience thinking strategically and taking initiative and will possess a deep understanding of the legislative process, along with excellent writing, organizational and time management skills.
