The Office of Congresswoman Katie Porter has an immediate need to hire an experienced Constituent Services Coordinator for the Irvine District Office in a full-time capacity. Job Expectations:
The Constituent Services Coordinator plays an important role by serving as a liaison to the federal government on behalf of constituents. The Constituent Services Coordinator will handle processing and maintaining a portfolio of cases. The Constituent Services Coordinator will also work closely with the District Director and Director of Constituent Services to promote the office’s constituent services department throughout the community and help provide outstanding service to the Member’s constituents.
Job Duties:
Serve as a liaison to coordinate and handle a diverse portfolio of federal agency cases through intake, agency correspondence, constituent correspondence, and resolution, maintaining accurate and complete files on all assigned casework matters
Monitors and updates District Director and Director of Constituent Services on casework trends; contributes to weekly and monthly internal casework reports
Prepares and manages incoming and outgoing correspondence in assigned areas of expertise
Monitors, screens, and refers cases, when appropriate, to other government entities
Perform other duties as assigned by District Director
Requirements:
Experience developing and maintaining constituent and/or customer relationships
Able to maintain composure and professionalism in all internal and external interactions
Strong problem-solving skills; proven ability to balance multiple tasks
Strong organization skills; strong written and verbal communication skills
Deep commitment to improving constituents’ lives
Preferences:
Bachelor’s degree in government, political science, social work, social science, or related field
A demonstrated interest in public service
Knowledge of the Member’s district
Spanish fluency preferred
