Legislative Correspondent

Congresswoman Rosa L. DeLauro (CT-03), Chair of the House Committee on Appropriations, seeks an organized and highly motivated Legislative Correspondent for her Washington, D.C. Office. Competitive candidates will have outstanding writing skills, strong organizational skills and experience on Capitol Hill assisting with a mail program. Responsibilities for this position include managing the Member’s constituent mail program, researching and writing letters, working collaboratively with other members of the legislative team, and handling an individual legislative portfolio as assigned. Strong candidates for this position will have prior experience working on Capitol Hill, an ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a strong work ethic.

Ties to Connecticut are a plus but not required. This office requires all staff and interns to complete a full SARS-CoV2 vaccination course, regardless of recovery from prior coronavirus illness, as a condition of employment.
