Congressman Mike Quigley (IL-05) seeks an organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented Scheduler/Director of Operations for his Washington, D.C. office. Primary responsibilities include scheduling, financial administration, and office management in coordination with the Chief of Staff. Candidates must have strong time-management skills and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Scheduler/Director of Operations will work closely with the Chief of Staff, District Director, and District Scheduler to coordinate the Member’s daily and long-term schedule. They will also partner with the communications team to facilitate press and interviews, as well as the legislative team to coordinate meetings and committee work. This person will organize all official travel for the office – for both the Member and staff.

The Scheduler/Director of Operations person will act as an office manager; they will coordinate with the Staff Assistant to ensure that the office has all supplies and technologies required to perform its official duties seamlessly. They will work closely with the Chief of Staff in all matters relating to personnel – including on- and off-boarding employees, tracking leave, and other relevant administrative duties.

They will also serve as the office’s Financial Administrator, which includes processing reimbursements and office expenses, managing the office monthly and annual budgets, and serving as the primary point of contact to the Office of Financial Counseling.

Candidates should possess strong decision-making skills and sound judgement. They should have experience managing competing priorities and events, as well as an ability to handle sensitive information.

Prior Capitol Hill and/or scheduling experience is required. Ties to Chicago or Illinois are a plus.  Access to a car is preferred but not required.

Anticipated starting salary is $70,000-$80,000.
