Veterans Caseworker

Congresswoman Debbie Dingell seeks a Veterans Caseworker to work with veterans, their families, and local veterans groups in her district office. Applicants must be detail and public service oriented, have excellent organizational and communication skills, and strong computer skills. This job requires the ability to complete projects on time, and to work well under pressure with constituents and stakeholders. Caseworkers handle sensitive information and must have good judgement and discretion. As a representative of the Congresswoman, this person must have the ability to communicate on behalf of the Congresswoman about her work impacting veterans in the district and Washington D.C.  This role will also be tasked with managing the Congresswoman’s service academy nomination process and highly regarded Valentines for Vets project. This candidate will serve as the office’s eyes and ears among the various veterans service organizations, VA hospitals and other stakeholders and must be able to hear concerns and deliver those messages to the office. The position requires the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and must be able to work in a team environment.
