Legislative Correspondent

Southern California Democrat is seeking an organized, detail-oriented individual to fill a Legislative Correspondent position. Primary duties include responding to constituent correspondence, managing the constituent mail system, drafting personal and formal correspondence for the Member, and managing Letter of Support requests from district-based organizations. Additional responsibilities include providing research assistance to legislative staff, drafting memos, and meeting with stakeholders. Candidates should have a proven ability to communicate well in writing as well as in a briefing setting. Candidates should be dependable, hardworking, and resourceful. This position requires excellent interpersonal and time management skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. California ties are preferred. Spanish fluency and experience with IQ are desired.
