Congressman Chuy García (IL-04) is seeking a Legislative Assistant to manage a diverse portfolio including staffing the member on his assignment to the House Financial Services Committee. Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in the House or Senate. Knowledge of FSC policy issues is strongly preferred. Successful candidates should have demonstrated experience advancing legislation, monitoring the Floor, and conducting research. Applicants should be outstanding writers who are able to handle talking points, speeches, memos and letters. This is a position that requires the ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and work well in a team setting. This is not an entry level position.
