Susie Lee seeks a Legislative Policy Fellow to aid the
Congresswoman’s service as a Member of the House Education and Labor Committee
as well as the House Veterans Affairs Committee. Responsibilities include
assisting the legislative team in preparing the Congresswoman for Committee
hearings; developing and planning legislative initiatives; monitoring
legislative developments in-portfolio within committees and on the House floor;
planning and organizing Caucus briefings and other events; and other assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
- A
demonstrated understanding of domestic policy areas (focus on
education/health/veterans issues a plus)
- Knowledge
of the bill and amendment introduction process is a plus;
- Strong
writing, interpersonal, self-motivation, and organizational skills are a
must;
- Western
ties are a plus.
Ideally, the fellow would be part of the team full-time and have
a graduate degree and/or some professional experience. Highly talented
graduate students, who are currently studying public health, public policy,
public administration, law, medicine or another relevant field, and can
commit to no less than 30 hours/week, will be considered.
