Rep. Zoe Lofgren is seeking afor the Member’s personal office to staff a portfolio with significant focus on technology, intellectual property, cybersecurity, privacy, surveillance, civil liberties and other Internet and innovation policy matters. The portfolio also has responsibility for other Judiciary Committee work including antitrust and bankruptcy plus other non-Committee issue areas. A law degree is required for consideration. This position requires clear, concise legal and legislative writing skills.
THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION. The ideal candidate has previous Capitol Hill experience, or experience working directly for a principle active inlaw or policy, and California / Silicon Valley ties. The interview process will also assess whether a candidate has the political acumen to work effectively with the wide variety of stakeholders within the portfolio.
