Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici seeks a highly-organized and detailed-oriented scheduler for her Washington, D.C. office. Due to ongoing telework, this position will also include some traditional staff assistant responsibilities, including logging and batching of constituent mail in IQ, and managing the office’s voicemail account. Main responsibilities will include organizing and tracking invitations, speaking engagements, and scheduling requests for the Member and staff, booking travel reservations, reserving briefing rooms, drafting correspondence for member, and coordinating with district office. Additionally, the scheduler will work closely with the chief of staff to ensure smooth overall DC office/staff operations. Ideal candidates will remain flexible and calm under pressure, have excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong interpersonal skills, and must be able to navigate competing demands while anticipating the Member’s needs. There will be no opportunity for legislative work in this position – it is administrative only. Although daily driving responsibilities are not needed right now, this position will include driving the member in DC once it’s safe to do so and a valid driver’s license is required. Women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, and members of other underrepresented communities are strongly encouraged to apply. Oregon ties are a plus. Salary range: $38 - $40K/annually.
