The Committee on House Administration seeks a professional staff member to serve as a policy advisor for information technology and cybersecurity policy. The ideal candidate will have a technical degree, experience with information technology and cybersecurity standards, experience advising on the implementation of such standards, and well versed in what cloud and software products are available in the market for modernizing business workflows and IT deployment. The position requires strategic thinking, the ability to work independently as well as within a team, and outstanding oral and written communication skills. Ideal candidates must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. This is not an entry-level position.
The policy advisor will be responsible for conducting oversight of information technology and cybersecurity policies of the House of Representatives and Legislative Branch Agencies. They will also advise the Committee on recommendations for such policies and purchasing decisions made by the Chief Administrative Officer. The policy advisor will also be expected to advise on the technical aspects of Federal elections security.
