Congressman Jim Langevin (D-RI) seeks an enthusiastic, professional and well-organized Staff Assistant to serve in his Washington, DC, office.  Responsibilities will vary based on the office’s telework status.  After the office transitions from full telework back to in-person operations, the Staff Assistant will be responsible for managing the front office, greeting visitors, answering phone calls, processing flag and tour requests, supervising interns, driving the Congressman as needed, assisting with the constituent correspondence operation, and providing support to the Congressman and staff.  Successful candidates will be flexible and possess strong interpersonal, organizational and communications skills; an ability to thrive in a face-paced environment; and a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
