Legislative Assistant

The House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure is seeking a Legislative Assistant to assist the professional staff of the Subcommittee on Aviation. Must have attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and be a self-motivated, team player who will jump in to assist with a variety of administrative and policy tasks. The position will include administrative work such as answering phones; compiling and managing data, statistics, and other information; and assembling materials for committee hearings and markups. The position will also involve substantive policy work as time allows, such as engagement with stakeholders and drafting memos and other written products. Experience on Capitol Hill is preferred, and salary is commensurate with experience.
