Press/Digital Assistant

U.S. Representative Norma J. Torres (CA-35) seeks a highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Press/Digital Assistant to join an active, bilingual press operation for her Washington, DC office.  Responsibilities include drafting press releases; crafting social media posts; writing speeches; designing graphics; monitoring social media; updating the website; and compiling daily press clips. This position requires an ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, excellent writing and communication skills, familiarity with graphic design and video editing software, and demonstrated social media platform management in a professional setting. One to two years of experience in a press or digital media role preferred.
