Senior Legislative Assistant

seeks an experienced Senior Legislative Assistant to join his Washington, DC
office. The Senior Legislative Assistant will support the Congressman with his
work on the Ways and Means Committee and manage a portfolio that includes
healthcare, social security and other social policy issues. The candidate should
have direct expertise in current healthcare issues including health reform,
Medicare, Medicaid, and other relevant issues. At least three years of Hill
experience is required and experience with relevant Congressional health
committee is a must. A strong candidate for this position will have excellent
writing and time management skills, a willingness to collaborate in a team, and
show initiative in advancing the Congressman’s legislative agenda. This position
will prepare the Congressman for Committee hearings and markups, floor debate
and other speeches, and closely track legislative activity on issues included in
the portfolio.
