First Term Member Office Hiring Experienced Legislative Assistant New Member of Congress seeks an experienced legislative staffer to prepare the Member for Committee hearings and markups, floor debate and other speeches, and closely track legislative activity on issues included in their portfolio. Experience in transportation and infrastructure, environmental issues, and financial services is a plus. Job responsibilities will include drafting unique Committee hearing questions, preparing the Member for Committee markups, meeting with constituents and interest groups on behalf of the Member and providing co-sponsorship and vote recommendations in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have exemplary writing skills and a proactive, resourceful approach to legislative work.
