Staff Assistant/Press Assistant

Congresswoman-elect Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) seeks an organized, creative, team-oriented Staff Assistant/Press Assistant with strong digital media skills for the Washington DC office. Staff Assistant responsibilities include managing the front office, coordinating tour and flag requests, overseeing the DC internship program, and providing additional office support as needed. Press Assistant tasks include sending daily press clips, drafting social media content, creating graphics, and assisting the Communications Director with the Member’s communications operation. Strong writing skills with expertise and passion for digital media required. While this is an entry-level position, candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills, great attention to detail, strong time management skills, and a desire to work collaboratively. Washington State ties are a plus.
