portfolio. The job requires strong skills in written and oral communication,
policy analysis, and quantitative analysis, as well as the ability to work
effectively under tight deadline. Responsibilities include persuasive writing;
monitoring and explaining economic data; conceiving and executing Congressional
hearings on big-picture fiscal and economic issues; and working collaboratively
with other analytical staff as needs arise. The ideal candidate will have
several years of relevant experience in Congress, a federal agency (such as OMB,
CBO, CEA, or Treasury), or a think tank; familiarity with the legislative
process; and an advanced degree in economics or a related field. Interested
