Economist for Democratic Staff of Congressional Committee

House Budget Committee seeks an economist for public finance/macroeconomics portfolio. The job requires strong skills in written and oral communication, policy analysis, and quantitative analysis, as well as the ability to work effectively under tight deadline. Responsibilities include persuasive writing; monitoring and explaining economic data; conceiving and executing Congressional hearings on big-picture fiscal and economic issues; and working collaboratively with other analytical staff as needs arise.
