The HEAT Report
Washington, DC,
March 10, 2021
The HEAT Report is a weekly newsletter focusing on how members of the House Energy Action Team (HEAT) promote American energy security, and an all-of-the-above energy economy.
The Latest:
Last week, House Democrats introduced the first part of their plan to dismantle American energy independence. Influenced by the Biden Administration's assault on American energy, Democrats' legislation places American jobs and energy security at risk, as well as the low energy costs that go with it.
Over the past four years, America has become energy dominant, resulting in a more secure country, lower energy prices for hard-working families, and thousands of good-paying American jobs. As our economy continues to recover from a global pandemic, the last thing we should do is promote policies that ship American jobs to higher polluting countries like China and Russia. Instead of making a down payment on the radical Green New Deal, Congress must preserve America's all-of-the-above energy strategy that promotes responsible energy exploration and development.
Energy made in America creates jobs, lowers the cost of gas and electricity for all American families and small businesses, and advances American interests on the world stage. House Democrats should consider the devastating consequences that eliminating American energy will have on hard-working families and our national security, and work with Republicans to develop commonsense policies that responsibly utilize our abundance of natural resources.
