TOPLINE: Whip Scalise is committed to exposing President Biden and Congressional Democrats’ giveaways to radical special interest groups and the far-left provisions buried in their 2,135-page big government tax-and-spending spree that they rushed through the House of Representatives. There are many “hidden gems” that Democrats handed the socialists, and Whip Scalise will continue to highlight them.   $6 Billion For Electric Mail Trucks and Charging Stations   Section 80003 allocates more than $2.5 billion for the U.S. Postal Service to purchase electric delivery vehicles for its Postal Service fleet and more than $3.4 billion to purchase support technology, such as charging stations.     President Biden, Speaker Pelosi, and their liberal lieutenants in Congress are hypocrites.   In Section 136401 of this same bill, Democrats punished companies who manufacture electric vehicles without union labor by giving consumers an extra $4,500 tax credit if they purchase a union-made electric vehicle.   But Section 80003 of their big government socialist legislation, Democrats steer business to a company that will produce electric delivery vehicles for the U.S. Postal Service in a right-to-work state without union labor.   How does this make sense?   The federal government should not pick winners and losers by favoring expensive electric vehicles or liberal union bosses. But that’s exactly what President Biden is doing.   BOTTOM LINE: Democrats are spending nearly $6 billion so the U.S. Postal Service can have a “clean fleet” of electric delivery vehicles. They haven’t even bothered to hide their inconsistent and costly climate agenda. President Biden and Speaker Pelosi give union bosses a handout by incentivizing American consumers to purchase union-made electric vehicles and rely on non-union manufacturing for the U.S. Postal Services’ electric delivery vehicles.
